An FRP pultrusion rod is a solid, high-strength composite bar made from continuous glass fibers embedded in a polymer resin like polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy.
How It Is Made
Resin saturation: Fiber bundles or glass roving's are pulled through a liquid resin bath to thoroughly wet the reinforcement.
Heated die: The wetted fibers pass through a heated forming die where the resin cures and hardens into a rigid profile.
Continuous pulling: A mechanical pulling device draws the hardened composite forward, allowing continuous production of uniform shapes and lengths.
Key Features & Benefits
Lightweight: Significantly lighter than steel while offering high tensile strength.
Corrosion-resistant: Does not rust, rot, warp, or degrade in chemical-heavy or wet environments.
Electrical insulation: Acts as a non-conductor for both thermal and electrical energy.
